“Where the heck have you been?!”

"And what the heck is a SUBSTACK?"

Fair.

Honestly when I started this newsletter a few years ago I had every intention to keep it as a low level under the radar reading experience that doesn't spam you every week with cries of "Buy my Book!" or grovelling for your support every two seconds. 

So when the last Kickstarters for THIS LAND were successfully completed and delivered out I thought it was time to take a step back.
So I shuttered the newsletter in the hope of engaging with you all with meaningful content at a later date.

And that date is NOW!.

 And Why and What is a SUBSTACK?

 Substack is a platform that allows me to produce my newsletter, operate as a blog and attract new subscribers for free. 

 The old format was via a service called Mailchimp and somehow without any driving force from myself the mailing list outgrew that platform and the extra costs it would have incurred.

 Substack is also a place where you can track other creators and keep follow them all in one place. 
 Pretty neat aye?

"All right, I'll give it a go. So what have you been up to?"
 

This last year has seen THIS LAND successfully published and distribute in New Zealand and Australia via Scholastic as 2 trade paperbacks
 

The reception and sales have been beyond my expectations and I'm proud to announce that a complete Trade Paperback of the story is now in the works for release to the rest of the world in the future. Its distribution method is still being decided upon but it will help get the story into many more hands and bodes well for the future.


My next project SCHISM with Glaswegian Artist Chris Connelly is currently in the colouring stage and whilst it's been available locally in Scotland as single issues we will be releasing it on Kickstarter as a 100 page trade paperback with cover from Marvel's Punisher Artist Goran Parlov!

Excellent point.
You see over the years the story has become more sprawling and layered as parts 2 and 3 have come to life.

The new trade paperback will contain the same story but with additional layers of storytelling placed over it adding to a greater experience.

That's pretty much writer talk for "I had a better idea and god damn am I going to run with it!"

SCHISM KICKSTARTER

As  for the rest of the last year our Doggy Daycare business has gone from strength to strength and we are fortunate to have built a fantastic base of clients who trust us to look after their family members.
